Interconnected

The purpose of my map was to allow me to see Edmonton in a different way and to explore it for a new reason. I decided to start at a point downtown that I knew and then trace a path that was new to me. Although I was familiar with some of the places in this map , I had never walked the area and therefore I did not know what little places existed off the main road. The places in my map that I've plotted remind me of other places in which I have traveled. I've been fortunate enough to do quite a bit of traveling in the last few years and I did so in order to escape the place I grew up and explore the world. This mapping assignment was great for me in a number of ways. The first being, it allowed me to reminisce about places I've traveled. It showed me that there are places in Edmonton, both out in the open and hidden, that are just as beautiful as places in cities I find spectacular. Lastly, it reinforced the fact that I do not know this city well enough to criticize it the way I so often do. There are many hidden treasures here that I have yet to discover and walking Piper's map showed me this too. I found this assignment to be interesting and enjoyable (despite the weather) and was amazed to see how many creative people can be squished into one class. Anyways, enough blabbing, this is the link to my map:
